I've neglected to tell you the location!
We're at 561 W 200 S in Salt Lake City, UT. We're about a block from the Gateway and right in front of a Trax stop. We're also very near several other galleries and art spaces.
Convenient, no? ;)

No, It's Not a Hot Desk...Why This Is Different
For those who've asked, we've put together a little list of what exactly we're doing. So this will hopefully explain in more detail and also give you a good idea of just how what we're doing is different than what's been done. The idea is to create a place where everyone can win and excel.
So here it is:
Photo Studio. In addition to being larger than the typical photo studio, we will have a receptionist (for answering and scheduling), a meeting/consulting space for photographers and their clients that includes projection, the option of a private office, and an in-house gallery for their work. Also, The Areté Center will be a hub for cultural and business activity bringing in a constant flow of potential clients and buyers through other occupants in the building, events, and community involvement.
Office Space. Private offices will provide the energy of a creative, non-traditional work environment with the privacy and convenience of a traditional office space. Private offices will have a receptionist, reception area, a space to facilitate larger meetings when needed, and other creative professionals to collaborate with.
Cowork Space. Small business owners and independents will have a workspace that gets them out of the house or the coffee shop. Additionally, they will have the advantage of the flow of traffic the rest of the building creates through other business owners, events, the art gallery and boutique.
Art Gallery. More than a typical art gallery, where you arrive, try not to make much noise, browse, and leave, The Areté Center will be a place that invites people to stay for a while. It will have more exposure than the usual gallery because of the many other activities the building hosts. Artists will be able to sell their work at a lower cost than at traditional galleries as there will be no hang fees and smaller percentages taken on the sale price.
Boutique. The advantages are similar to the gallery for designers who have their pieces in the boutique: more exposure, more traffic, and a place to for potential buyers to stay for a while. Also, because we will feature a very limited number of hand-selected designers, they will have a greater presence than being one of many in a traditional boutique.
